Daniel Mattson lives in Grand Rapids, MI where he has been a professional orchestral musician for over 15 years. He reverted to the Catholic Church in 2009 after three decades in an Evangelical church, in large part because of the Church’s continuous and unfailing teaching on the dignity of man and the Catholic view of sexuality. Since then, he has become a passionate spokesman for the beauty of the Church’s teaching on human sexuality and promotes the truth that Her invitation to chastity is a gift to mankind, a message that he views as being vital to the New Evangelization. In addition, he enjoys speaking about the great solace to be found in the teachings of the Church on suffering, particularly in relationship to the lives of single people. He has appeared on the Catholic Answers Live radio program with Patrick Madrid and his writings have appeared in Catholic Answers Magazine, and on the websites of First Things and Aleteia.org. In his spare time, Daniel loves to travel, to spend time with his crazy rescue dog Sophie, and especially to socialize with friends, while taking full advantage of the benefits of his hometown, recently named Beer City USA.
