Volunteers

Do you want an easy way to meet wonderful people from all over the country while supporting a great mission? Because the National Catholic Singles Conference travels to a different city every year, new volunteers are always a key part of making each conference an unforgettable event. If you would like to be part of making NCSC 2019 in Nashville a success, please fill out a volunteer application so we can determine how we can best collaborate.

There are 4 different types of volunteers – each asking for different levels of commitment in time and responsibilities.

Shift VolunteerShift volunteers have just a few responsibilities for a set period of time during the conference weekend (e.g. help for a couple shifts at the registration table, lead morning prayer, help with set up or clean up etc.) ($25 discount off current registration fee)

Pre/Post Conference Event Leader OR Promotion Team Member – Being in either of these roles takes a little more preparation/time. The volunteer coordinator will be in touch to go over the responsibilities of the job and what needs to be done. As an event leader, you will be the point person for a pre or post-conference activity. Job entails: emailing people who’ve signed up for your assigned activity, arrange meal plans for group, and organize travel arrangements. On the day of, make sure that trip goes smoothly. As a promotion team member you will help with promotion in the months and weeks prior to the conference. Job entails: going to events to distribute flyers, sharing the event on social media, making phone calls to parishes etc. (before/after July 31st: $199/$225)

Assistant Coordinator – Play a supporting role to a committee coordinator. Help with organization prior to the conference and over the conference weekend to make sure that things go smoothly. You will be expected to attend local meetings and/or have phone meetings to make sure everything is getting done as planned. ($150)
